    Biblical and Fantastic

    Here I am with the second part of June’s themed week in “Let’s Listen to”! Today’s subject is the latest work by the visual kei band Diaura, the fourteenth single Noah/Shangri-la and released today (even on Spotify). The release plays well with the image contrast, as suggested by the titles; in fact there is a biblical word, followed by a more fantastical one, allowing an identification of the single styles (melting and dark for the first, warm and seducing for the other). And now… let’s review!

    -Noah: the first title-track is introduced by a fast rhythm, driven by Kei’s astonishing guitar and the suffused bass; Yo-ka shows off melodious vocals, which sustain the theme in a brilliant interpretation, worth of his talent; this track retakes in general all the elements of the band, but in a new and fresh shape, surely helped by a powerful instrumental work. —> 9/10

    Hi, sorry @surrealistic-jellyfish for taking such a long time with this…m(> <)m… I admit I had some resistance towards doing a yo-ka interview because he can be really abstract at times…and indeed towards the end of the interview he did become pretty poetic and abstract lol. I tried to translate as best as I could to get the meaning across so hopefully it is at least understandable >< Here goes…enjoy~

    Since a year and 8 months back, this has been your second interview with us. The first time was right after your live at Ebisu Liquidroom. If we reflect upon all that happened since the last interview till today, first of all, ex-Drummer Yuu-san left the band, and the support drummer Tatsuya-san officially joined afterwards. In terms of the scale of your lives, you have leapt from doing one-man lives in places like Akasaka Blitz to Shibuya Public Hall, those were bustling days
