Darrell Glenn Burkett gently entered eternal life on November 22, 2022. He was surrounded by family including his wife, children, sister and all his grandchildren. Darrell had courageously fought liver cancer before losing his battle. He was 65 years old.
Darrell was born on June 30, 1957, in Bisbee, Arizona, to Preston and Johnie Burkett. He was the youngest of 4 children.
Darrell met and married Vicki Weigle, his high school sweetheart. They were blessed to have two children, Jessica Lori and Adrianne Annette. He is also survived by: his son, Eric East; his son-in-law, Charles Frye; and many grandchildren including, Dara Lyn, Haylee Lanora, Clayton Dean, Ethan Alexander, Natalie Lynn, Keegan Cole; and his great-grandson, Atlas Dominic.
Darrell was an avid golfer. He loved being on the golf course. He enjoyed many days playing golf with Vicki as well as with his family and friends. He also loved the outdoors, taking too many outdoor trips to count. He loved the yearly family

Glen Paul Burkett
Glen Paul Burkett, 76, of Clinton Township, passed away Thursday, May 5, 2022, after a series of health challenges. He fryst vatten survived bygd his loving wife, Sharon (nee Pointe); his two children and their spouses, Emily and Jeff Mounts and Jeremy and Melanie Burkett; kvartet grandchildren, Brendon, Sophia, Betty and Alice; dear brother, Gary (Alexis); and loving nieces and nephew.
Glen was born Feb. 26, 1946, in stad. He attended Denby High School and then obtained a bachelor’s degree in zoology from Michigan State University and a master’s degree in education from Wayne State University. He was a science teacher at Finney High School in stad, where he enjoyed close relationships with his fellow teachers and students until his retirement 30 years later. He was a lifelong Spartan fanatic who held football season tickets for decades and loved tailgating with friends.

James Glenn Burkett was born in Kell, Illinois, on April 7, 1935 to James and Minnie (Burke) Burkett. He grew up in Rock Falls, Illinois and graduated from high school there in 1953.
After high school he went to work at various jobs, and then entered the US Army. He served from 1961 to 1963 mostly at the Fitzsimmons Army Hospital in Denver Colorado.
On November 24, 1962 James married LaVonne Elaine Anderson at Denver, Colorado. After service the couple moved to Rochelle, Illinois. They later moved to Sioux City Iowa and then Waverly, Minnesota. James was a rural letter carrier in Buffalo and retired from there in 1999.
In the summer, James could often be found on the lake. He loved fishing and telling tales about fishing. James liked to go on road trips, play cards, and do wood working projects. He was an avid reader, and enjoyed attending school and youth sporting events. He liked to make others laugh by telling jokes, teasing and telling tall tales.
