    Early History & Activation:

    Like many other Airborne units of the US Army, the th Airborne Medical Company can trace its history back to the First World War. The th Medical Company was initially constituted on 23 July as the th Sanitary Train. It formed part of the st Division. After being deactivated on 11 December following a change in structure of the US Army, it was reconstituted 24 June in Milwaukee, Wisconsin as the th Medical Regiment, and once again assigned to the st Division.

    On 30 January , the Regiment was once again redesignated as the th Medical Battalion of the st Division. The Army, in preparation for the new war in Europe withdrew the Battalion from the organized reserves and assigned it to the Army of the United States on 15 August , once more reorganizing the unit now officially designated as th

    Andrew Keith Hubner (October 16, – August 10, ), also known as Andrew Huebner and Drew Hubner, was an American author and college lecturer.[1] He has been compared to Cormac McCarthy, David Foster Wallace, and Thomas Wolfe.[2][3]

    Early life

    Hubner, the son of Jacqueline (née Smith) and George Christopher "Chris" Hubner III, was born in Newark, New Jersey and grew up in Cary, North Carolina.[4][5][2] He had two siblings, older brother Dave S. Hubner and younger brother Steve Hubner.[1] He graduated from Cary High School in and attended Appalachian State University.[6][4]
