    After we were suitably impressed by their performance in Sheffield supporting the Murderdolls, we thought that now would be a good time to catch-up with the glam-inspired metal powerhouse that is Black Veil Brides, we spoke with the band’s vocalist Andy Six about touring the UK and plans for the future…

    S] You got to play all over the country in places like Sheffield on this tour – how was that?

    A] “The tour was great. Honestly, it was amazing. Obviously being from the States and having never been here before, I was actually unaware of the fact that some towns are smaller. Every show was sold out! We would only hear about how small a town was after we’d played a sold-out show where a couple of thousand kids turned out.     All About Black Veil Brides.Black Veil Brides inception started in 2006 in Ohio, when Vocalist Andy Six began seeking players to create a vision of a modern day Misfits meets Motley Crue and Kiss with lyrical content that pertained to the outcasts. Songs that could be a rallying cry for the disenfranchised and bring back the community and passion that was once so prevalent in Rock n’ Roll.

    Early on the band went through various member changes to accomplish this, but it wasn’t until 2009 when Andy moved to Los Angeles that the vision started to come into fruition. The music video for the song Knives and Pens was created June 2009; it’s a song that spoke of the difficulty of growing up as an outcast in America and the struggles that face youth on a day to day basis. The video amast thousands of plays within the first week alone and by the time the video was on YouTube for a month it had already reached views in the millions!

    Biography: Black Veil Brides

    Black Veil Brides are a metalcore quintet from Hollywood, California. The current lineup consists of lead vocalist Andy "Andy Six" Biersack, lead guitarist Jake Pitts, bassist Ashley Purdy, guitarist Jinxx and drummer Christian "CC" Coma. Conceived in Delhi, Ohio in 2006, Biersack remains the only original member of the band.

    In 2007, Black Veil Brides released their first EP, Sex and Hollywood. The self-produced film for "Knives and Pens" garnered BVB a cult following - the film currently has over 27,000,000 views. The group signed with StandBy Records in September of 2009. Three months later they began the "On Leather Wings Tour" their first tour of the United States.

    In July of 2010, Black Veil Brides released their first LP, We Stitch These Wounds, which reached #36 on Billboard's Top 200 skiva chart. Universal Music Group label Lava Records took notice of the grupp after Hot Topic ledare music officer John Kirkpatrick told Lava president
