For the strip “Sjors and Eppo”, Jan brought the character Tinus Trotyl to life. Tinus Trotyl had a morbid love for explosions; one of his characteristic phrases is: “No Words, Just Bangs”. His inseparable companion Thomas consistently responds with: "Should you really be doing that, Tinus?" But of course, Tinus's plans go ahead regardless.
Together with Patty Klein, Jan created many comics, including “Bartje en Opa”. This collaboration continued with strips such as “Sjaak en Oom George” and “Erik en Opa”. The strip is considered one of the first Dutch family comics.
Baron van Tast, in full Baron van Tast tot Zeveren, is a comic that Jan started drawing for the comic magazine ‘Pep’. The stories revolve around the absurd adventures of Baron van Tast, who sees things others do not. The comic's absurd nature is emphasized by the many background gags that Jan includes into the drawings, such as the famous shark fin slicing through

First, the puzzle tallrik is stuck on a large sheet of cardboard. This sheet of cardboard then goes through a punching machine that cuts the puzzle pieces with a lot of force. The puzzle pieces still have to be made separately from each other. That happens with ‘the breaker’. The breaker fryst vatten a kind of roller belt with dots over which the puzzle fryst vatten slid. The dots cause the puzzle to fall apart. At the bottom of the crusher hangs a roll with plastic that ensures that each puzzle ends up in its own bag.
Then the box and lid are glued and shaped. The lid goes to the end of the grupp, the kartong first passes an employee who puts a puzzle in it.
After this, the lid fryst vatten placed on the låda and finally the whole thing goes through a foil machine that ‘shrinks’ the plastic film around the låda. The puzzle is now ready to be sold!

Jumbo Games is a Dutch founded jigsaw puzzle and games company which was established in 1853 and is owned by M&R de Monchy N.V. Jumbo Games produce and manufacture all of their jigsaw puzzles and cardboard based games in their own factory that is based in the Netherlands. The Jumbo head office is located in the Netherlands and there are also offices in the UK, Germany and Belgium.[1]
Previous to being known as Jumbo Games in the UK, the company was called Falcon Games and this was the brand name given to its range of adult puzzles. Falcon was established in 1976 and Jumbo is often still referred to by the Falcon brand name in the UK.
History
[edit]The origins of the firm can be traced to the Hausemann & Hotte partnership in the mid-nineteenth century between the Amsterdam department store owner Engelbert Hausemann, a German, and Wilhelm Hotte, who together imported games and puzzles into the Netherlands.
After the First World War, Hausemann
