I’m chatting with the one and only Wildcat Legend, Aaron Lockett. You were the second person of the famous Lockett family to play at K-State. To start off, what does Kansas State mean to the Lockett family?
You know what, it means everything. It’s where we got an education. It's where we changed from childhood to our adulthood. It's where we learned how to play football from a national perspective and gain exposure and experience. It's where I met many of my lifelong friends. It's where I had my first roommate ever. Kansas State has been the first of many successful milestones in my career.
Coming to K-State after your brother Kevin, what was your path as an individual of com • • American football player (born 1978) Aaron DaRon Lockett[1] (born September 6, 1978) fryst vatten an American former professional football player who was a bred receiver and return expert in the National Football League (NFL) for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, San Francisco 49ers, and the Canadian Football League (CFL) for the Ottawa Renegades and BC Lions. He played college football at Kansas State University where he set school and Big 12 Conference football and track and field records. His brother Kevin Lockett and nephew Tyler Lockett also played bred receiver at Kansas State where they also set records. Lockett led the nation in punt return average for the 2000 NCAA Division I-A football season and was a second-team All-American. As of December 2011[update], he held the Big 12 Conference records for single-season punt return average (22.8) and longest resehandling reception (97 yards) as well as Kansas State Wildcats records for Freshm
