    Jeff Brady, MD, MPH, is the Senior Vice President for Enterprise Research and Innovation at Highmark Health. He is responsible for leading the organization’s research strategy and coordinating research activities that support Highmark Health’s enterprise mission: to improve health care and create a remarkable health experience, freeing people to be their best. Dr. Brady is board-certified in Public Health and General Preventive Medicine and for nearly two decades has worked to advance health care quality and patient safety. He most recently directed the Center for Quality Improvement and Patient Safety (2014 – 2022) at the federal Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) and has been engaged in multiple national efforts focused on health care research and improvement.     Rear Admiral Jeffrey Brady, M.D., M.P.H., is a member of the senior leadership team at the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), where he has worked since 2006. Prior to becoming Director of AHRQ’s Center for Quality Improvement and Patient Safety in 2014, he led the agency’s Patient Safety Research Program and, earlier, the team that reports annually to Congress on the status of health care quality in the United States. Dr. Brady has also served as a medical officer and clinical reviewer for the Food and Drug Administration, medical epidemiologist for the Department of Defense, and primary care physician in the U.S. Navy.
